Defeat for Cork City FC Youths in Final

There was bitter disappointment for Cork City FC Youths on Saturday night when they failed to beat Clonmel Town in the Lucozade Munster Youths Cup Final at Turner’s Cross. Paul Bowdren’s side had been looking to make it a hat trick of wins in this competition, but instead it was the Tipperary side who claimed their first title with an extra time winner after the sides had finished level at 1-1 after 90 minutes.

The pursuit of the Cork Youths League Premier Division title continues tonight when they travel to face Rockmount, while the side will look for it’s first trophy on Thursday night when they return to Turner’s Cross to face Carrigaline United in the Murphy Cup final. Kick off for this game is 7.00pm.
