Clonakilty Schools Programme

Clonakilty Food Co., home of Clonakilty Sausages and the famous Clonakilty Blackpudding, have renewed their partnership with 2016 FAI Cup winners Cork City FC and together have launched a new schools programme “Clonakilty Take Pride in Your Jersey” as part of the club’s City in the Community work.

The Prize:

We will select 25 schools as our official ‘Clonakilty Take Pride in Your Jersey’ schools each month (March-June 2017). As part of the programme we will be able to reward one class in your school with the following:

  • A monthly visit from two of Cork City FCs senior team who will;
    • Deliver a 1 hour talk/coaching session with the winning class
    • Present the prize to the Clonakilty Take Pride in Your Jersey Student of the Month Award (winner gets a Clonakilty Sausage hamper and a family ticket for the next home game)
  • €1 Entry Tickets to Turner’s Cross Clonakilty Schools Stand for the all the children in the winning class that month (Must be accompanied by appropriate number of teachers/parents)
  • At the end of the season, the school gets their players signed boots, signed training top and a Clonakilty hamper to raffle as a fundraiser

How to Enter:

At Clonakilty Sausages, we’re proud to be part of an amazing community and town in West Cork – Clonakilty. Just recently Clonakilty town won the title of the best town in the UK and Ireland at the 2017 Urbanism Awards where it was praise by the judges for its distinctiveness, tradition, entrepreneurialism and strong sense of local pride. Standing out from the crowd, upholding traditions and having pride in where we come from are values that Clonakilty Sausages and Cork City FC share with Clonakilty town too.

So, to be in with a chance to become an official Clonakilty Take Pride in Your Jersey school this season we would like you to:

  • Design a football shirt for your school, that reflects our shared values
    • We want your shirt to give us an insight into what makes your school different from all the others, to show us the great pride you have in your community and the traditions you have in your school
    • All entries should be accompanied with a little story about your school and why your design reflects our shared values
  • Download the template to design your jersey, just click here.
  • Colour in the template.
  • Post your entry to “Clonakilty Take Pride in your Jersey, C/O Cork City FC, Bishopstown Training Ground, Curraheen, Cork.”
