Quite simply one of the principle attacking threats the Rebel Army possess, Daryl joined Cork City on a permanent basis in December 2011, after spending six months of the 2011 season on loan at Leeside.

As soon as he pulled on a green shirt, he looked the part – terrorising First Division defences – on either the right or left flank, and really was a key element in City’s eventual title win. A quick winger, Horgan was also one of the club’s best performers in the 2012 campaign, adapting well to the tighter full-backs of the Premier Division.

Born and raised in Galway, he began his career with local side Salthill Devon before impressing joining Sligo Rovers in early 2011.
