Gearóid is yet another of City’s home grown contingent, and is certainly one of the most exciting talents at the club.

Having begun his career with local side Ringmahon Rangers, Morrissey then went on to join Blackburn Rovers’ youth setup, but returned back home in 2010 to sign for his hometown club.

He has since played an integral role in the club’s revival, and has shone with some stunning performances in the Cork midfield.

Gearóid is blessed with pace, quick feet, and an eye for a pass. He has also represented the Republic of Ireland at U17 and U19 levels.
