McCarthy Developments Announced as Community Partner

Cork City Football Club is delighted to announce McCarthy Developments as the club’s Official Community Partner for the 2010 season.

The deal will see the McCarthy Developments logo being displayed prominently at Turner’s Cross and club media sources over the course of the coming season, whilst allowing the club to use Bishopstown Stadium as a training and administration base. The club will also be permitted to use the fantastically located venue for non-first team matches.

Kevin Mullen, General Manager of Cork City Football Club, said of the first of many new partnerships that the club will secure over the coming weeks: “I am delighted that we have secured a training facility for the club, which will also serve as a base for our various squads and administration team.

“The goodwill and support from all sectors of the community has been hugely encouraging, and the fact that McCarthy Developments have offered a prime development site for use as a proud community asset is further evidence of this.

“I would especially like to thank Tom McCarthy and Tony Sisk of McCarthy Developments for their assistance in arranging this partnership and hope this is an association we can all enjoy for many seasons to come.”

Tom McCarthy, of McCarthy Developments, was delighted to be able to help out Cork’s football club within days of the club receiving a licence and commented “I would like to wish the Cork City Foras Co-op every success in League of Ireland First Division and hope for a speedy promotion into the Premier Division. McCarthy Developments have had an association with Cork football since 2005 and it is great for the supporters and the City that we can all now look forward to the forthcoming season”.
