Cork City are pleased to announce the signing of Daryl Horgan on loan from Sligo Rovers for the remainder of the season, and is expected to be available for tomorrow’s game against Salthill Devon.
The Republic of Ireland Under 19 international joined Sligo from Salthill Devon at the start of the season, and has made 10 league appearances for them so far this season. Commenting on the signing, City boss Tommy Dunne said: “Daryl is a player we have been looking at for a while. He did well for Salthill last season and he impressed me any time I saw him. I spoke to him prior to the season with a view to signing him at that point, but he opted to sign for Sligo. He is keen to get more game time, so I am delighted to be able to bring him in at this point, and I would like to thank (Sligo manager) Paul Cook for his assistance in arranging the deal. Daryl’s main position is wide on the right side of midfield, but he can play on either flank, so he will complement the wide players we already have and will strengthen our squad.”
