Monday’s Programme

It seems a lot longer than three years since Woods finally put the boots away, after a storied career which began at Coventry City in 1991 before his first return to City in 1993. Spells at Tranmere and Blackpool on loan followed but he then ended up at Portadown in 1997 before joining Shamrock Rovers.

Alan Smith speaks to First Team Coach Billy Woods, and asks him whether he still gets involved in training. “I do but I’m probably the worst one out there now. My legs are gone a few years, so I’m not going to be keeping up with the lads now!”

You can read the rest of that interview and much more, including Tommy Dunne’s thoughts on the upcoming transfer window, in City Edition, which will be available at Turner’s Cross on Monday afternoon priced at €3. You can also purchase City Edition from our online shop.
