John Kavanagh signs back for 2015

Cork City FC are delighted to announce that John Kavanagh has signed back with the club for 2015.

Speaking to, Kavanagh said he had high hopes for the coming season, commenting: “There’s nowhere else I want to be. The season we had last year was terrific, and hopefully we can push on again in 2015.”

“It was nice to get a run towards the end of the season and play in a couple of big games, which was a good experience, which I would hope to take into next year. We had a great season, but, as a team, we need to push on again and hopefully we can go one step further next season.”

Boss John Caulfield said that he feels the full back has a big year ahead of him, saying: “It’s brilliant to sign Kav back. I think everyone can see the potential he has. He came through our Under 19s, was on fringes of the first team two years ago and he was a big part of the team this year; coming on and also starting quite a few matches. I feel he has matured a lot, his attitude is superb and we really have high hopes for him; it’s all in front of him and next year we hope will be a huge season for him.”
