Cork City FC’s Amputee team are back in action this weekend as both Shamrock Rovers and Bohemian FC travel to Cork for the 2nd round of games in the National League. The action gets underway from Cope Foundation, Montenotte from 2pm to 4pm this Saturday, April 7th .
The running order for Saturday is as follows;
Cork City FC vs Shamrock Rovers
Bohemian FC vs Shamrock Rovers
Bohemians FC vs Cork City FC
City lie 2nd in the National Amputee League table following two 1-1 draws in the first round of games. Bohemian FC top the table on 5 points following a draw with Cork City and a heavy win over Shamrock Rovers.
Speaking to Corkcityfc.ie defender David Saunders said “From a player’s point of view, we are very happy with our progress to date under the guidance of our coach, Rónán Collins. Regular sessions have ensured that fitness levels, technical ability and tactical awareness is increasing week on week. We look forward to our first home fixture of the league and we hope to see a good level of support at Cope on Saturday.”
