Preview of Cobh Ramblers game

Cork City’s bid to retain the Munster Senior Cup sees them take on Cobh Ramblers tomorrow night, with the tie being played at Douglas Hall’s grounds, kick-off 8 pm.

Speaking to CorkCityFC.ie ahead of the game, City boss John Caulfield said: “Games between ourselves and Cobh are always competitive and very tight. It is the semi final of a cup we have won for the last two years, so we want to win and book our place in the final.”

“It is a great game for both teams; there are quite a few ex-City players with Cobh, such as Ian Turner, Stephen Kenny, Kevin Taylor, Cian Leonard, Denzil Fernandes, Shane O’Connor… which always makes it very competitive. We are really looking forward to the game. Karl Sheppard will miss out, as will Garry Comerford, but other than that we expect to have a full squad to pick from.”
