City 3-2 Midleton

Cork City advanced to the final of the Munster Senior Cup after a 3-2 win over Midleton today at Bishopstown.

City opened the scoring through Cian Bargary who put the Leesiders a goal up in the opening minute.

Beineón O’Brien-Whitmarsh doubled City’s lead ten minutes later.

Midleton pulled one back with a penalty tucked away by Jake Hegarty mid-way through the second half, and he levelled matters with his second goal not long after.

Issa Kargbo came off the bench to grab the winner for City, firing home from close range in the 78th minute.

Rockmount or Carrigaline United will face City in the final, which is pencilled in for August 4th/5th.

Referee: Dave Keeler.
