Cork City FC is delighted to announce the release of a re-make of the 1990’s CCFC Flat Cap in honour of its most well-known wearer, Finbarr O’Shea.
Finbarr sadly passed away earlier this year. He was a dedicated volunteer, supporter and friend to all at Cork City FC.
All proceeds from the sales of the hat will help towards our CCFC Academy teams’ return to football. This was an area of the club that Finbarr cared deeply for. The hat is designed in the same colour and style of the original cap and features a distinctive “F” on the back in memory
Speaking on the release, Finbarr’s nephew Tony Tobin said: “Take a bow Cork City FC for honouring the late, great Finbarr O’Shea with the iconic “Finbarr Hat”! This is what a local community club is all about – Your City, Your Club – City ’til I die & beyond!”
Club chairman Declan Carey said “It’s an honour to help release this hat and a huge thanks has to go out to the wider CCFC community for helping source the particular style. It’s a fantastic way to remember a legend of the club and we hope this helps in some small way in showing Finbarr’s family how much he meant to everyone associated with CCFC“.
The hat is available to order now from the CCFC online shop in limited quantities.
Update: The hat is now completely sold out. Thanks to everyone for supporting!Order Now
