Cork City FC launch Junior Academy!

Update: New Camp slot now added. Read more here.

Cork City FC are delighted to launch our brand-new Junior Academy in association with Net World Sports. The Junior Academy will cater for boys and girls of all levels between the ages of 8-13. The Academy will give outfield players and goalkeepers the opportunity to train and be coached under the Cork City FC umbrella, while at the same time being free to play with their local schoolboy clubs.

The Junior Academy will kick off on Sunday 3rd October in Musgrave Park and will run every Sunday evenings.

The registration fee to join the academy will be €100, and includes your first month of sessions, as well as adidas/CCFC branded training tops, shorts, and socks. The cost will be €39 per month thereafter.

The Junior Academy will be led by our current Under 17 manager and UEFA A license holder Dave Moore. Dave comes with a wealth of experience and is one of the most respected underage coaches in Ireland.

Speaking at the launch of the Junior Academy, Dave said: “I am extremely excited to be taking up this opportunity with the club. When the club approached me about the Junior Academy I felt there would be a huge appetite for it, not only within the Cork City fan base but also the wider footballing community. I am really looking forward to getting it off the ground now and start working with the kids”.

Commercial Manager Paul Deasy said: “This is something myself and the club are hugely excited about, the Junior Academy has been in the works for over 18 months and we are delighted to finally get it off the ground. There is a massive interest in the summer camps we have run over the last numbers of years, and we see this as a growth from that. This is a great chance for kids of all abilities to come and get top class coaching under the Cork City name and to really feel part of this huge club under another sense. I would also like to thank Net World Sports for coming on board as primary sponsors who will supply top quality FORZA training equipment for the academy.”

Net World Sports founder Alex Lovén said: “We’re delighted to support this initiative by the club which we’ve no doubt will prove to be hugely popular with enthusiastic young players. The level of coaching on offer to the junior players will benefit them greatly, and it’s fantastic that our FORZA equipment will be used to deliver the top-class weekly training sessions to the players”.
