Cork City eventually got the break through 13 minutes into the second half. Dylan McGlade with a sharp finish on the edge of the area that beat McGinley to his left.
With 15 minutes to go the hosts were back in it. Cretaro was left in space 20-yards out and he curled a low effort into the bottom corner to leave Mark McNulty with no chance.
