City announce pre-season fixtures!

Cork City FC can confirm some of the club’s upcoming pre-season fixtures, with more fixtures expected to be announced in the near future.

• V Midleton, Knockgriffin Park, Tuesday 21^st, 7.30 pm.
• V Bandon, Saturday 1^st. Already announced.
• V Cobh Ramblers, Sunday 2^nd, Mayfield, 2 pm.

Commenting on the schedule, City boss Neale Fenn said: “It’s good for us to have a few games lined up now, and we are looking forward to the Midleton game next Tuesday. We have been working hard in training, but game time is important too, so it will be good for the lads to get a proper run-out.” “We also have the Munster Senior Cup game against Mayfield United the week before the start of the season, and we are working on a couple of other games as well. We are hoping to have confirmation of games against Bray Wanderers, Wexford and Longford Town in the coming days also.” “We obviously have quite a young group at the moment, so it will be good to see them in match conditions, but we would also hope to have a few new faces involved in some of the games, either in the form of new signings or players coming in on trial.”
