City confirm pre-season schedule!

Cork City FC can now confirm the club’s upcoming pre-season fixtures, after the recent announcement of the friendly match against Longford Town in Turner's Cross.

• V Bandon, Town Park, Saturday 1st, 2 pm.
• V Cobh Ramblers, Mayfield, Sunday 2nd, 2 pm.
• V Longford Town, Turner's Cross, Sunday 8th, 3 pm.

The club also confirmed that the upcoming Munster Senior Cup Quarter-Final match against Mayfield United will now take place in Mayfield on Sunday, 9th February at 2PM. Commenting on the schedule, City boss Neale Fenn said: “Pre-season is going well. We've got two games this weekend, against Bandon and Cobh, which are good run-outs for us. We had a game last week against UCC, which was a good exercise for the boys. It's just about games and getting time in their legs. It's different playing matches on grass when we've been training on astro. It's good to get 90 minutes, 60 minutes or 45 minutes, whatever the boys get in a match situation. We'll continue to do that this week and the following week to get ready for the start of the season.” “By the time the Shels game comes around, we'll be ready. We'll hopefully have a fully fit squad.
