Conor Drinan agrees new contract!

We are pleased to confirm that Conor Drinan has agreed a contract extension with the club.

The 25-year-old joined City from Cobh Ramblers in July 2023, and has gone on to make 61 appearances, scoring 7 goals - 5 of which have come this season.

Speaking in Bishopstown after signing his new deal, Drinan said: I’m buzzing to get it done. As soon as the Club told me they wanted me to stay put.. that’s all I needed to hear, so I’m delighted to get it over the line.”

“Working with Barry has been great. I’ve played more under him than other managers, and I’m looking forward to working with him again next season.”

City boss Barry Robson was glad to get the deal done, saying: “I’m pleased to have Conor signed up for next season. He’s a local lad who understands what it means to play for Cork City and the standards that are expected at this club.”

“He’s played 26 games for us in the league this year and has chipped in with goals and assists, so he’s become an important player that works hard for the team, and we wanted to have him tied down for next year.”
