Cork City announce McKeever Partnership

Cork City FC and McKeever Sports are delighted to announce a new partnership deal which will see McKeever Sports supplying all of Cork City’s official playing and training gear for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. A new Home 2021 jersey along with a range of supporters leisurewear and a training range will be launching this winter, in time for the Christmas season. The range will be available via the Cork City online shop, the club shop on match nights and various retail outlets. At this time we would also like to confirm there will be a new away kit which will launch for the new 2021 season, with the clubs current red away shirt moving into the spot of third-choice for 2021. Commenting on the announcement, McKeever Sports Managing Director, Padraic McKeever said: ‘We have a strong track record in providing teamwear across Ireland and beyond and welcome Cork City FC to the McKeever brand. Cork City FC is one of the biggest clubs in the country across all codes and our goal in securing the new deal is to bring freshness, innovation and excellent service to the team. We are delighted that Cork City have recognised our endeavours and we are committed to delivering superior quality, high performance teamwear to all eight of the Rebels Army squads and backroom staff’. Speaking today on the announcement, Cork City FC chairman Declan Carey said: “This is a huge development for the club, such is the importance of commercial kit and merchandise to the club’s overall business strategy. Over the last number of months we engaged in a rigorous tendering process to ensure that we found a partner who was the right fit for Cork City FC. Our merchandise department has grown enormously over the last 2-3 years. More recently, our online shop has seen a huge growth in sales, not just domestically, but internationally as well. We look forward to developing this area of the business even further over the coming years, working directly with our new partners at McKeever Sports. We are confident that their expertise, combined with our in-house capabilities will bring this area of the club to another level. McKeever Sports can offer the club a bespoke adidas range which I’m sure the fans will love. This November we will launch a very unique green, white and red adidas kit featuring the club’s main colourway. It’s sure to be a massive hit.” A date for the official home kit launch will be announced on the club’s digital platforms in due course.
