Craig Robinson Appointed Community Coaching Manager

Cork City FC can announce that Craig Robinson has been appointed as full-time Community Coaching Manager with the club.

In his new role, Craig will have overall responsibility for Cork City FC’s Junior Academy, as well as overseeing the running of our successful Corky Camps, with the intention of growing both areas and building on the success they have enjoyed to date. Craig will also work alongside Community and Academy Coordinator Erika Ní Thuama in working on the club’s community programme.

Craig said; “Cork City’s potential does not just lie with our first teams, but throughout the entire structure from the youngest at the Corky Camps through the Junior Academy and on to our underage League of Ireland academies. Our goal is to build the Rebel Army, as we prepare for games across the next decade. I would like to thank the club for this opportunity, and look forward to working closely with an amazingly talented group of young people.”

Craig is currently the Assistant Manager of Cork City FC’s women’s first team, as well as being the former WU17s manager. In addition to the community aspects of this new role, Craig will also take on the role of Head of Academy for our two women’s League of Ireland underage teams, where he will oversee the pathway from our WU17 team right through to the first team.

Commenting on this role, Craig said: “I am very passionate about the development of young players. There is great work being done by Derek (Coughlan) and Barry (Ryan) and their coaches in the two underage teams, and I see my role as being there to support them and their players as they look to progress through to the senior team.”
