Craig Robinson appointed WU17 Manager
Cork City FC are pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Robinson as the new manager of the club’s Women’s Under 17 side.
The club is also pleased to confirm that Jess Lawton, who oversaw both the U17 and U19 sides last season, will manage the Under 19s in 2023.
Commenting on the news, Danny Murphy, manager of the Cork City women’s first team, said: “ I am delighted to have Craig on board with the Under 17s. Craig has been working with the FAI at the elite talent centre and is currently finishing off his UEFA B license. He brings a good balance of technical and tactical knowledge, which is perfect for the development of the players at that age. This will help us with the aim being to have more girls moving up to the 19s and onwards to the first team.”
Commenting on his appointment, Craig said “I am delighted to be given the opportunity to come on board to help develop the players to push on to Under 19 and senior level. I will be working closely with Danny and Jess to improve the overall standards of the female game in Cork, and I am really looking forward to it.”
