David Odumosu signs for City!

Cork City FC are delighted to announce the signing of David Odumosu, subject to international clearance.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper joins us from Cliftonville for an undisclosed fee, having made over 50 first team appearances for the Reds since joining them in July 2023. Prior to that, Odumosu made over 50 appearances in the League of Ireland with Drogheda United and St. Pat’s.

Speaking to CorkCityFC.ie, Odumosu said: “I’m really excited to be here at such a massive club as Cork City. I have had some really good conversations with the manager, and I am excited to be part of his plans for the second half of the season. Obviously, we have a massive challenge ahead of us but it is one I am looking forward to playing my part in. I can’t wait to get started.”

Cork City manager Gerard Nash welcomed his latest recruit saying: “I am really delighted to bring David to the club. First and foremost, he wants to be here, he has made that really clear in my conversations with him so far, and that is really important for me and for the club. He is 24, which is still very young for a goalkeeper, but he has a lot of experience, both in this league and in the north. That experience is a real positive for us and is something we were looking for.”

Odumosu is the club’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window, joining Fiacre Kelleher, Rory Feely and Charlie Lutz as the latest recruits for Nash’s squad. Pending international clearance, it is expected that all four will be available for tomorrow night’s trip to face Shelbourne at Tolka Park.
