Finn Harps 1-1 City
Report from SSEAirtricityLeague.ie A 20-yard strike from the veteran Raff Cretaro rescued a point for Finn Harps as they came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against relegation rivals. Ollie Horgan had to watch the game from the stands as he served a one-match touchline ban and he saw both Harps and the Leesiders play out a largely cagey first half. Towards the break it was the visitors who produced the best chances of the half. First Harps ‘keeper Mark McGinley produced an excellent save to deny a Cian Coleman then Deshane Dalling had a glorious chance to find the net after finding himself free at the back post but his effort trickled wide. Cork City eventually got the break through 13 minutes into the second half. Dylan McGlade with a sharp finish on the edge of the area that beat McGinley to his left. With 15 minutes to go the hosts were back in it. Cretaro was left in space 20-yards out and he curled a low effort into the bottom corner to leave Mark McNulty with no chance. It ended 1-1 with Cork remaining bottom of the table. Referee: Paul McLaughlin. [event_performance 104304]
