Cork City FC are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Kristen Sample for our Women's National League squad, a fourth signing of the season for Paul Farrell's side.
Speaking in Bishopstown after signing for the Rebel Army, Sample said: "I couldn’t be happier to sign for Cork City. On both the men’s and women’s side there’s such a strong tradition of goalkeeping and it’s an honour to be a part of it. I'm incredibly excited to be coached by such a thoroughly educated staff. Everyone has made me feel so welcome already, I’m very happy to now call Cork City home."
City boss Paul Farrell was happy to bring the experienced goalkeeper in, saying: "We're delighted to have Kristen on board. We're coming into a very important part of the season now, and bringing in Kristen adds to the strength in depth that we have in our squad. She has been training with us, and has met the rest of the girls, now we're looking forward to getting to work with her."
City are back in league action on Saturday afternoon, travelling to Eamonn Deacy Park to face Galway Women's FC. You can watch the match LIVE & FREE on the league's official streaming service, LOITV.ie!
