Tiff Taylor signs for City!

Cork City FC are delighted to announce the signing of former Portsmouth, Southampton & Chichester City player Tiffany Taylor for our SSE Airtricity Women's National League Squad. The defender becomes Paul Farrell's first signing since he taking the reins in May.

Speaking in Bishopstown on Saturday morning, the new arrival said: "I’m absolutely delighted to have signed for City. It's been a long time coming - I've been in touch with the club for a while now and can't thank them enough for all of their help. Now I’ve finally signed I'm ready to get going!"

"I've played in the FA WNL in the UK for many years and now I’m so excited to be able to experience a different environment and a new challenge. I love what the club has and where it is looking to go. Having the Women’s team play at Turners Cross is amazing and I’m really looking forward to experiencing playing at the ground. I know that City are a young and energetic side and they have so much quality so I’m hoping that I am able to help bring some experience to the team."

"With it being the off season back in the UK this was a perfect time for me to come over, have a fresh start and enjoy the beautiful game. I can't wait to get going and see if I can help the club push forward and back up the table where they belong!"

City boss Paul Farrell was happy to finally get the deal done, saying: "We've been in contact with Tiff for a while, and we're delighted to finally have her here and signed. She has played at a high level in the UK for a number of years and will bring a wealth of experience to the side.

City are back in home league action on Saturday afternoon, welcoming ninth-placed Athlone Town to Turner's Cross. Tickets for the game are available now through Eventbrite here. Tickets for the game must be purchased in advance, as there will be none available at the stadium.
