Cork City FC are pleased to confirm management teams for our Women’s Academy sides for the 2026 season, overseen by our Women’s Head of Academy, Craig Robinson.
Following the introduction of the League of Ireland Women’s Development League, our Women’s Under 19 side will be replaced by a new Women’s Under 23 team, which will be overseen by Áine O’Donovan and Scott Forrest. Also on the coaching team will be Cian McLaughlin, with Jack O’Brien as goalkeeper coach & Jack O’Callaghan as Strength & Conditioning coach.
Our Women’s Under 17 side will be led by Craig Robinson, with lead coach Cathal Moriarty and also assisted by Muireann Deasy. Gary Delaney remains in his role of goalkeeper coach, while Ciaran McNamee joins as Analyst and Strength & Conditioning coach.
We would like to wish the best of luck to outgoing WU17 manager and Cork City legend Derek Coughlan, who led the side to a Cup final in 2025, where they narrowly lost out to Shamrock Rovers.
We would also like wish the best to Danny Bennett, Brian McSweeney, Brian Anthony and Heather Hayes for their work during their time at the club, as well a special word of thanks to Josh Cooney, who departs after a number of years at the club holding a number of roles across all of our Women’s teams.
