Our football & social responsibility strategy will help guide the football club to make strategic decisions in an ethical, sustainable and responsible way.
Cork City FC is committed to ensuring that our initiatives, policies and plans have a positive impact on those in our community.
Anti-Discrimination
Cork City FC is a diverse club with players from all different backgrounds.
This policy covers the areas of equality, inclusion and anti-racism.
The club is committed to challenging Racism and
providing a discrimination free environment and continues to implement the UEFA ten-point plan for tackling racism in football.
Football for All Abilities
The aim of this policy is to ensure that Cork City Football Club in all its activities will not
discriminate or in any way, treat anyone less favourably on grounds of ability or disability.
The club will ensure it treats people fairly and with respect and that it will provide access and opportunities for all members of the community to take part in and enjoy its activities.
The club commits to continuing to work with key stakeholders and groups to ensure that matchday activities are accessible to all. This includes, but is not limited to, catering for drop off points for those with mobility issues and additional access points where required on match night.
We will work with local clubs and groups to promote and support Football For All activities as well continuing to support our amputee footballers and Down Syndrom futsal team.
The management and staff of Cork City FC are fully committed to implementing this policy.
Environmental Protection
Cork City FC, as a football club and business, is aware of its environmental footprint and our impact on our surroundings. The club, its staff, players and fans have a vital role to play in minimising their impact on the environment.
Cork City FC will work with players and staff to become more educated and climate literate. This will allow all to have a better understanding of our collective and individual impact.
We encourage supporters attending games to use public transport when possible. Bike racks are available outside Turners Cross stadium for those cycling to games.
Cork City Council has committed to being net-zero carbon by 2030. It is the intention of the club to work with the council to help achieve
this. The club has committed to working with CCC to use the club’s social media presence to deliver messages in relation to climate action.
